Hi, I am Landee Kieschnick and I am a freshman at Texas Tech University, majoring in Agriculture Communications. I am the daughter of Trent and Janice Kieschnick of Vernon, Texas. I have one brother, Tanner, a 2012 graduate of Texas Tech, and one sister, Katelyn, who will graduate from Texas Tech in May 2015. In the fall of 2014, I was named to the Texas Tech President’s Honor List.
While at Texas Tech, I have been greatly involved in several organizations such as Ambassadors for Agriculture, where I was elected as Advocacy Chairman and also participated in a video promoting agriculture. I am also a member of Agriculture Communicators of Tomorrow and attended the 2015 ACT Conference in Orlando, Florida. As a member of Block & Bridle, I have participated in the “Little I” Stock Show, wrote letters to military members serving overseas and collected food items and school supplies for needy children.
I was recently nominated and chosen for an interview for Agri-Techsans, a Texas Tech organization that promotes agriculture throughout Texas. I am also currently an intern working for GoTexan, which promotes local businesses in the Lubbock area. Some more fun organizations I have been apart of this past year has been playing in Intramural volleyball and Intramural basketball in which both teams made the playoffs.
