I am a third-year student of agricultural economics at Texas Tech University, currently studying in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia at La Trobe University. I’m originally from El Paso, Texas, but I found my passion for agriculture in Wolfforth, Texas when I joined FFA. During my time at Texas Tech I have been expanding my agricultural knowledge and experience through my studies and work. I think that in this day and age it’s very important to have a strong network of connections and I have been trying to strengthen my network by doing things such as serving as an Ag Pal mentor, working as a research assistant at the Texas Tech University Plant and Soil Sciences Research Farm where I have gotten the chance to work with many brilliant researchers from Texas Tech, serving as an intern at Todd Ag Consulting in Plainview, Texas, and now, studying across the world at a university teeming with diversity, where I have met people with similar interests from so many places across the globe.
