My name is Clifton Virgil, and I am a senior range conservation major; agricultural communications minor at Texas Tech University. I would say that growing up in Pattison, Texas was my catalyst in choosing my field of study. Learning beside my grandfather as he tended to his crops gave me an appreciation for the industry. As our crops went to the local supermarket, we knew that our community depended on us to provide a quality product that the people could enjoy. Since I have been at TTU it has been a wonderful and insightful experience. In 2012 I was named most outstanding natural resource management student which let me know that I doing my studies the right way. Since then, I have had a number of internship opportunities that I otherwise would have not been privy to without the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
